Cynthia is a registered yoga teacher ryt@500 she first began practising yoga over 30 years ago, occasionally lapsing, but always returning as nothing else made her feel better. She made the decision to become a yoga teacher primarily to deepen her own yoga practice, but then wanted to share the gift of yoga with others.
Her teaching focuses on mind-body approach, incorporating the neuroscience of yoga for optimizing nervous system regulation, as well as the bio-mechanics of poses to maximize benefits and prevent injury. She Incorporates messages about the nervous system, anatomy. yoga philosophy and hindu mythology into her classes.
She also has 35 years experience in healthcare first as a dietitian, then as a registered psychotherapist. She has been increasingly incorporating yoga into her psychotherapy practice, and has completed training in the mindful yoga based acceptance and commitment therapy (MYACT)
