Katarina lives in London with her wife, Christa and their two cats, Piccolo and Pipa. She has a deep love of gardening, Harry Potter and being in any body of water. If she could live off of one food for the rest of her life without consequences it would be ice cream.

Katarina WittkampKatarina [she/her] has been practicing yoga for roughly half her life and teaching for about a third of it.
In class, workshops, trainings and on retreat, her students are encouraged to explore their capacity for challenge, be curious, learn new movements, breathe deeply, be still and nurture their relationship with their wise inner-Self. All of this is taught in an effort to build a sense of personal agency (choice) as to how students relate to their body, mind, emotions and Spirit. Katarina’s teachings centre around two major themes: radical self-acceptance and self-compassion. She considers it her mission to role model these qualities by being transparent about her mental health challenges. She shares about her challenges with coming out as queer, living with anxiety, rOCD and ADHD and being a trauma survivor. These stories are shared to inspire others to leverage life’s challenges as gateways to healing. You can find Katarina teaching to groups at various studios and gyms in London, ON and online at katarinayoga.com, an online platform where she offers virtual and on-demand classes in a multidisciplinary styles. Her classes weave together a variety of movement and philosophy paradigms into a fluid yet practical and effective methodology that lead to an awakened life. |
