S: What made you decide to become a yoga instructor?
K: After years of practicing, it was actually one of my instructors that suggested I teach. Why did I not think of that? It is so wonderful to be able to share my passion with others. It is my goal to encourage students to find their strength, power and flexibility in their yoga and in their lives.

S: What is your favourite yoga moment?
K: Every time I do extended mountain pose. I reach to the sky, open my heart and think, “wow, life is truly amazing.”

S: What style of yoga class do you like to do?
K: I love it all!!! Vinyasa flows are a favorite but I embrace any chance I get to stretch, move and explore all that my body is capable of. My style is not in the type of class but the experience that I create for myself each time I step onto the mat.

S: What part of your practice are you focusing on now?
K: I have recently challenged myself to  embrace the practice of restorative yoga and become a teacher of restorative yoga. I have avoided restorative yoga in the past, fearing the stillness, the non –doing and the letting go.  However, it is exactly what I have needed in my life. I am excited to share the benefits of restorative yoga with my students as, together, we learn to release the tension in our lives.
