Shangrila: Why did you start doing yoga?
Leslie: I suffered from many sports injuries so I decided to try yoga to help stretch out my inflexible body. I immediately fell in love with the relaxation and mental break that I felt--it was such a contrast to the years of stress and to the competitiveness of society.
S: What made you decide to become a yoga instructor?
L: I wanted a LONG yoga vacation and the teacher training programs ran longer than the holiday retreats so I signed up hoping to learn more. I did expect to be an instructor but it came so naturally that I couldn't hold back from sharing the practice I so dearly love.
S: What is your favourite post-yoga food?
L: A green juice made with love from Anne, my Yogi sister.
S: What part of your practice are you focusing on now?
L: Letting go of expectations and loving each moment of pregnancy?
